➀ 1) I write CVs, resumes & LinkedIn profiles. My clients are serious about making a good first impression. Have you found that writing your own CV is a pain? You can get stuck. ➀ 2) I also help EXECUTIVES and SENIOR MANAGERS and PROFESSIONALS with their CV, bio, online presence and LinkedIn profile, and coach them in speaking more effectively and with more confidence. Often their online presence just a ‘mish-mash’ of outdated detail. They don’t look like the leaders they are. The media, shareholders, investors, competitors, industry leaders, and potential new talent are all looking, assessing them based on what they see. When I coach them in speaking, I do it 1 to 1 and we start with my “3-T’s Speaking Formula” which gives them a quick and immediate win.


➀ Wrote a CV for the CEO of a bank: he had a CV that looks like the one he wrote when still at university, it looked like a million others. He also had a derelict presence on LinkedIn. Now he has a commanding resume/CV and LinkedIn profile.

➀ Wrote a CV for a Director out of the job market for 13 years: she says, “Being out of the job seeking market for over 13 years, I sent Gerard a heap of documents. ➀ Coach a professional who literally saw people fall asleep in her last talk. She’d lost confidence and had an impending talk which she was feeling sick about: we brainstormed fresh ideas (even at short notice), we stuck to the basics – no group classes required, no awkwardness – we found a way to make her next talk super interesting, gripping and effective. We practiced and got her confident.


➀ I started out in recruitment. Then I founded The Job Search Clinic, My advice was published in Business Day, The Star, Cape Argus, Financial Times, Beeld, etc; I appeared on radio – Cape Talk, Talk Radio 702, SAfm, Radio2000; and I have spoken at, for eg, the UCT Graduate School of Business. In 2006 I added Wow!CV, a CV / resume and LinkedIn writing service. And now in 2020, I’ve added Personal Impact – helping senior clients with their online presence, CV, bio, and quality of speaking.
